SUIDAKRA To Enter Studio In December
May 9, 2010German melodic folk/death metallers SUIDAKRA have issued the following update:
"Quite some time has passed since the last update.
"We have been in North America, which was great as always!
"Thanks to all of you who came out to the shows! We had a good time and hope to come back soon.
"Right now we're on the next tour already, riding through France and Switzerland. Check out the tour dates and come to the gigs if you can make it!
"Unfortunately, the London show in June will go on without our participation due to organizational problems beyond our control. Sorry for that!
"Our 'Emprise To Avalon' album was re-released recently. Originally out on Century Media in the year 2002, 'Emprise' has surely become a SUIDAKRA classic over the years. It was out of print for some time, but now you may purchase it here. Brand new 15-year anniversary t-shirts are available as well.
"The best at the end: We started to write new music for the next album and have about four songs finished so far! Recording is supposed to start in December; we'll keep you updated."
SUIDAKRA's ninth album, "Crógacht", was released in the U.S. in March 2009 through Wacken Records/SPV. Recorded at Gernart Studios with producer Martin Muchwalter, the CD's artwork was created by famous Belgian graphic artist Kris Verwimp.
"Crógacht", meaning bravery, is based on one of the most dramatic tales in Irish mythology. It tells the story of the hero Cuchulainn's epic journey to the Isle of Skye, where he seeks to learn the arts of war from the Scythian warrior woman Scathach. The decisions he then has to make set the events in motion that will lead to his son Conlaoch's tragic fate…
